Training Walk Up The Mount

We finally got to walk up the Mount with Andy and Sally yesterday. The town was the busiest we have ever seen it and we just couldn't get parked anywhere near the place. We ended up using the 'park'n'ride' again. It dropped us off at the start of the walk which was good but it also meant we had to carry all of our 'beach gear' to the top, including the swingball set.

Our usual rest point halfway up the Mount

The visibility was the best of all our climbs to the top.

The picture below is the swim course (Pilot Bay) of my race on Saturday. It basically dissects all those boats that you see just off shore. I naively thought that they would kindly ask the owners of the boats to get them out the way so the swimmers would be able to see the markers ... but no, we have to dodge the boats as part of the course. As you can see it was very calm yesterday. I'm hoping it stays that way.

3 sleeps till race day. Going to practice transitions today. I'm hoping to get to Pilot Bay to do some quick swim/bike/run transitions.
